Jim Foley
Founder & CEO

Jim is a business leader with over 30 years of experience and a passion for results and
impact. His eclectic background spans software development, technology sales, transformational consulting, marketing, strategy and corporate leadership.

High-impact positions include senior management and Board roles in multi-national companies such as BT,
Cap Gemini, Canonical and Kroll, and in young, entrepreneurial ventures such as Flexiant (Cloud Orchestration) and Veracity (CCTV networks, storage and software).

Jim built international teams and operations
across the UK, EMEA, the Americas and Asia-Pacific. He has an established network of senior leaders in many sectors and geographies, especially in global technology firms.

Jim's primary skills are in building teams around a common cause, developing and executing market engagement strategies and international partnerships.

In October 2019 Jim stepped out of operational executive positions to pursue a lifelong research ambition as an 'engaged scholar'. The results of this ongoing research is largely responsible for the unique frameworks, models and tools developed at Actionable Business.

David Wilson
CTO

David is an accomplished CTO experienced in leading and developing engineering teams as they progress from startup to unicorn scale-up. He is a delivery focused technical leader with a desire to build technology that delivers impact and value. He believes in forming customer focused teams with a passion to liberate value early and efficiently.

His core strengths in building technical delivery teams has been gained through senior roles in organisations such as Strathclyde Police, Honeywell, and Maclay Murray & Spens. More recently, as SVP of Engineering at Craneware he scaled their engineering capabilities from 5 people to over 125 as this Scottish HealthTech company scaled to unicorn status. Instrumental to this success was the transformation of the software development, Data, QA, UI/UX and documentation teams through the adoption of lean agile and traditional client/server technology to high impact SaaS.

In June 2021, after a period with an early-stage Fintech, David joined forces with Jim Foley at Actionable Business to use his experience to ignite and enable the next generation of technology-led entrepreneurs and ventures.

Matt Houghton
CRO

Matt is a U.S. citizen who has lived in the UK for over a decade. In that time he has become one of the most networked people across many technology landscapes including Space, Fintech, Construction, Data Analytics and AI, Cyber,  Healthtech and a plethora of Government and Academic institutions, incubators and accelerators.

At heart Matt is an entrepreneurial rainmaker. He is a passionate and enthusiastic networker and connector who has helped numerous companies accelerate their speed to revenue through targeted community introductions.

Matt's career has been heavily weighted towards sales and commercial activity and his role as Chief Revenue Officer plays to his strengths.

He is equally as passionate about creating positive social impact within an ethical backdrop of honest, desire to deliver the mission. Normally, for Matt, this involves community building as a first step before the potential of 'community-enabled commercialisation' is released.
